Brandon has been on our board for two years. He helps out by setting up for our dances and advertising our organization at events like the Moscow Farmer's Market. In addition to vintage swing dancing and volunteering on our board, he also does contra dances! Brandon prefers to Lead, ask him to dance!

Colby is our Secretary and assistant Treasurer. She teaches East Coast Swing, Lindy Hop, Charleston, and West Coast Swing. At our dances Colby can be found teaching the Beginner or Beyond the Basics lessons. Behind the scenes she manages our website and email. Colby prefers to lead, but will follow if you ask!

Michael is our President and is well versed in many dance styles. He often teaches lessons at our weekly dances, and is knowledgeable in East Coast Swing, Charleston, Lindy Hop, West Coast Swing, as well as many Ballroom and Latin styles of dance. Michael prefers to lead, but will follow if you ask!

Matthew is new to our board and is our Assistant Secretary. He is new new to the Palouse, Swing Devils, and dancing. He currently helps out at social dances by DJ'ing. Matthew dances East Coast Swing, Lindy Hop, and is learning West Coast Swing. He prefers to lead.

Taylor is a sophomore at WSU and is new to the Swing Devils board, but brings an eagerness to learn. She started doing East Coast Swing in August of 2023. In a strange turn of events, she kept coming back and quickly fell in love with the dance and the atmosphere. She is actively learning West Coast Swing. She primarily follows, but is hoping to learn how to lead!

Matthew Harden is our Vice President. He is new to our board but has been dancing in the community for many years. He often DJs and teaches lessons at our weekly dances. Matthew dances East Coast Swing, Charleston, Lindy Hop, and West Coast Swing. He prefers to lead, but will follow if you ask!

Meet the Board Members

Alex has been with the Swing Devils since the very beginning, back in 1997! He manages the Swing Devils accounts and keeps the Swing Devils history alive through stories that often derail our board meetings. Alex is well versed in and teaches many styles of vintage swing dancing, including (but not limited to) Lindy Hop, Charleston, Shag, Balboa, East Coast Swing, and has a vast knowledge of solo jazz and jazz routines. Alex prefers to lead.

Nam joined our board in 2022, and brings plenty of experience and enthusiasm. He has taught both Lindy Hop and East Coast Swing in the past, and currently helps teach our beginner lessons and DJs our dances. Nam has run the swing club at WSU for the past couple of years and has helped to make live band events happen!

Every February the Swing Devils elect a new Board of Directors. These dancers are Swing Devils members who make our events happen by doing things like teach the lessons, DJ dances, help with advertising, manage the money, and take care of other logistics. Board members are happy to answer any questions and address any problems you may have at our dances, so don't be afraid to come talk to and dance with us!  Many of our board members are also instructors.
